President's WelcomeDear Visitor, Welcome to our web site. The Dublin Rotary Club was the first Rotary club to be formed outside of North America. Our first meeting in 1911 was held in Jury's Hotel in Dublin. Today, over ninety years later, we still meet in Mr. Jury's hotel, although the hotel itself has since moved a couple of miles from its original city centre location to the leafy inner suburb of Ballsbridge. Our club has a long tradition of community involvement and visitor hospitality. Almost every week we welcome guests from all over the Rotary world to our meetings and we are always delighted to meet new Rotarians (and their guests) and to make new friends. So if you are in Dublin on a Monday, do join us for lunch and I can assure you of good fellowship and a really warm Irish welcome. Michael Carroll |
