President's Welcome

Dear Visitor,

Welcome to our web site.

The Dublin Rotary Club was the first Rotary club to be formed outside of North America. Our first meeting in 1911 was held in Jury's Hotel in Dublin. Over the past 97 years, we have changed hotel a few times. Today we meet in the Grand Canal Hotel, a couple of miles from our original city centre location in the leafy inner suburb of Ballsbridge, next to the Grand Canal itself and close to the southern docks.

Our club has a long tradition of community involvement and visitor hospitality. Almost every week we welcome guests from all over the Rotary world to our meetings. We are always delighted to meet new Rotarians (and their family and other guests) and to make new friends. So if you are in Dublin on a Monday, do join us for lunch and I can assure you of good fellowship and a really warm Irish welcome.
