What We Do

The Dublin Rotary Club has a wide range of social, charitable and community programmes. Our regular activities include:

Community Services:

  • Santa's annual visit to the National Children's hospital;
  • Christmas trees for disadvantaged families;
  • A Kids Day Out for disadvantaged children;
  • National Stroke Awareness;
  • The TB alert programme;
  • Winter Warmth (collection of good quality second hand clothes and shoes).

International Services:

  • The Rotary Aquabox scheme providing clean drinking water;
  • The shoebox clothes scheme for orphans;
  • Sight savers - spectacles for the third world;
  • Support for St. Joseph's Community School in Keny

Youth Services:

  • Youth Leadership programme;
  • Schools mock interviews;
  • Support for the national primary school chess competition;
  • An Interact in Sion Hill secondary school.

Foundation:

  • The Rotary postal survey;
  • Support for Ambassadorial Scholars;
  • Support and fund raising for other Foundation activities.

There are also continual one-off initiatives.
