What We Do
The Dublin Rotary Club has a wide range of social, charitable and community programmes. Our regular activities include:
Community Services:
- Santa's annual visit to the National Children's hospital;
- Christmas trees for disadvantaged families;
- A Kids Day Out for disadvantaged children;
- National Stroke Awareness;
- The TB alert programme;
- Winter Warmth (collection of good quality second hand clothes and shoes).
International Services:
- The Rotary Aquabox scheme providing clean drinking water;
- The shoebox clothes scheme for orphans;
- Sight savers - spectacles for the third world;
- Support for St. Joseph's Community School in Keny
Youth Services:
- Youth Leadership programme;
- Schools mock interviews;
- Support for the national primary school chess competition;
- An Interact in Sion Hill secondary school.
Foundation:
- The Rotary postal survey;
- Support for Ambassadorial Scholars;
- Support and fund raising for other Foundation activities.
There are also continual one-off initiatives.
